Vicki's Pit Stop and Storage.

So much has been going on with me, I didn't make time to write (and sometimes remember) any of it down.
Mostly school has kept me busy. Multiple projects due on the same week. If class ends at 10pm, I usually come home after midnight because I've stayed behind to use the Adobe programs I don't have at home. Then I still have to finish some other project when I get home.
I don't know how the kids who don't have cars do it and are able to get around to purchase supplies or visit the places we're supposed to go. Like getting projects printed, all though there is a print lab in school to use, it's not the best work, but it's ok.
I went to the Dallas Museum of Art a few weeks ago to stare at paintings so I could write a 3 page analysis on one of them. I parked my car at the train station down the road from me and took the train, simply because I hate driving downtown and who knows where I could have parked.
If I'm not at school then I'm at work. Blah is a good word for that. I saw today when I was picking up groceries at Aldi that they are hiring cashiers...$11 bucks an hour! I might try that. It might help out with my school loan and I might not have to ask my parents to co-sign again. I really hate asking them to do that since it's great deal of money. I just don't want to put the responsibility on them when it's not their education.
Now the social life: Mostly it's fine, hanging out now and then with different people, guys, you know. I have attracted a few guys that I really never thought were interested in me at all, so that was a great surprise. The other day though, I did get into some trouble. I got home from work, exhausted because I went out swimming with some friends from noon to 3pm (got a sunburn, so now I look like a candy cane) then came home and went to work til 10. (after having not slept well at all the night before)
Then someone called to say "Hey, wanna hang out? and I'm all "Heck yeah I want to hang out" (you know because I still had homework, laundry and sleep I needed, but that can all be done later, right?)
I ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people, got in fight (I still have a huge scratch on my neck) and lost my phone. I'm mostly concerned about my phone because who knows who picked it up and what they're doing with it. I don't want any of my contacts given out and I lost all my pictures. I did get another phone, but it was $100 and I used my credit card to do that, which I didn't want to do. Even though I got my other phone, which I loved, disabled as soon as I could, there was still that 3-4 hour window where anything could have happened, you know?
And I still have people staying with me. One stays with her mother most of the time, but the boyfriend doesn't have any place to go and I don't want to kick anyone out like that, so I set the date: July 1st. And that is it. I have put a sign on my door that says "Welcome to Vicki's pit stop and storage. Daily and weekly rates. Chores available."

I don't think I'll be able to go to Amarillo to visit like I had planned, because I need to get brakes and an alignment done on my car, so that will take up all my paycheck coming on the 20th. I think it's good I won't have any money to spend during my entire summer break, maybe I'll stay out of trouble?

here are a few things:
tshirt design for my MOOYAH burgers campaign

a bag I designed for a made up expo and business I created.

UPDATE: my phone was found and someone took it to my work. Nothing happened to it that I know of, there's no weird pictures on it. I'm glad to have it back because the new phone that I got takes really sucky pictures.

If it's MOOYAH, it's fresh

I have made this presentation for the MOOYAH burger people to consider for their new upcoming campaign. I'm calling it Freshness in Disguise and I made this little hamburger in disguise guy, first by hand drawing then manipulated in Illustrator and Photoshop, my nemesis. The presentation was created in InDesign and the Mood Board was created in Photoshop, my nemesis.
I hope they like it and I hope they pick my campaign!
